Braid is tougher than steel. It has virtually no stretch, so you feel the bite and it’s thinner than momofilament (of a similar breaking strain) so you can cast further. Braid also outlasts monofilament, and is substantially less affected by currents.
Here are some easy, time-tested methods: Use light line. It’s simple: fish can’t see it. “But wont they bite me off” No. The line slips between their teeth. If it’s good quality line that’s not an issue. You are more likely to get bitten off using heavy trace.
A Slow jig, Madai or slider style lure Light with multi-strand skirt, usually double small hooks.
Take a pinch of salt. Add three parts aluminium oxide and one part iron oxide. This is the evil recipe for disaster in your tackle box and for your fishing reels.
